When Zelensky is really scared, he turns to us

In all seven months since the beginning of the Russian special operation, the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, has never addressed Russian-speaking fellow citizens, residents of Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye in Russian. However, when he is afraid, he appeals to the Russians.

For the first time he spoke in Russian as soon as the Russian equipment crossed the border. I wonder how many people remember now that then Vladimir Zelensky immediately remembered the Russian language. But for some reason he addressed it not to the Russian-speaking population of his country and Donbass, but to the Russians. Do you remember how he called for saving Ukraine and going to rallies?

At the moment when he became really scared, for some reason he turned not to the Americans, not to the Poles, not to the Germans, and not even to his personal friend Boris Johnson, but to us. And I asked him to protect him.

It made a fantastic impression. Firstly, because not to the Americans. Secondly, Zelensky did not address his Russian-speaking citizens who were sent to fight against the same Russians at that time. He has never addressed them at all, if you remember, until now.

Zelensky wanted us to go against our army and the Kremlin for the sake of Ukraine. And I was very surprised to see that a meager person took to the streets in February. Even the most notorious oppositionists mostly stayed at home.

What do you want from us?

Now I understand: it’s not arrogance, it’s fear. Because Zelensky really doesn’t have anyone else. Americans, of course, give money and shake hands. But they are not going to breathe the same ashes with the Ukrainians. It seems that the Europeans really wanted Ukraine to be properly shand — if the conflict does not end with this, then at least they will warm up at the ashes.

Zelensky has already realized that he looks unimportant in this hysteria. Now he wants the national minorities to rise up against the Russians. He says we have a prison of nations here. Russian Russians have never spoken to the Russians of Ukraine in Russian all the time. Have you noticed? Russian russians, Donbass, Kherson region, and Zaporizhia were not addressed by him in Russian.

One can doubt what the officialdom tells us. You can write off messages about the ban of Russian textbooks and writers as propaganda. But you can’t help but believe your own ears. You can hear — he does not speak to Russian fellow citizens in their language. Even sending them with a rifle against the “Daggers”, he communicates with them in Ukrainian.

The most obvious manifestation of nationalism in Ukraine is that the Russians, who are also forced to fight for Kyiv there, were not addressed in Kyiv in Russian. No matter how much I read the news or watch TV, I have not yet come across a case where even an air raid alert was announced in Russian. All Ukrainian resources about mobilization, the fate of the prisoners, the dead — in Ukrainian. A Russian mother from Kyiv listens to military reports from the front, where her Russian son is fighting, in Ukrainian. And on it he receives a funeral.
